Creative art workshops in a relaxed café setting

Café Art is a typical expression of the partnership between Sawyers Church and Frontline.

Our Wednesday Creative Sensory Art runs alongside Crown Café and welcomes people with a learning disability, enabling them to express their creativity through simple techniques such as blending colours and using collage and textures, in a relaxed and friendly environment. Café Art is led by a gifted and experienced art tutor.

Wednesdays during school term time. Two sessions are available
10:00AM to 12:00PM and
12:45PM to 2:30PM
To book, call: 01277 233889

Please note that while Sawyers Church is being rebuilt, Café Art is currently based at the Sion Centre.

Sensory Art Spectacular 2022

During August 2022, Café Art held our "Sensory Art Spectacular" exhibition in the Becket Gallery, Brentwood library. It helps to promote the confidence of everyone taking part and gain them an appreciation of what they can do. This year's exhibition was made possible by funding from the Essex Community Fund.

Royal Academy Trip 2022

On the 17th August, we took the train to London to visit the exciting Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The art was stunning and gave us lots of ideas for next term. Afterwards we enjoyed our picnic in Green Park. Here are some photos of our exciting day out!
